I am delighted to have been awarded a proof of concept grant from the National Biofilms Innovation Centre, in collaboration with Frontiers IP, to investigate the potential of DNA nanostructures against oral biofilms. The grant, worth £70,000 will run from September 2020 for 8 months and will exploit the versatile functionalisation potential of DNA nanostructures to deliver active antimicrobial substances in oral biofilms.
